With expertise in planning, programming and design of educational facilities, Robert’s focus is on bringing exemplary education facilities into the built environment. Given that long-range planning and fund planning are more critical with school projects than with most other projects, Robert’s principal interests are well aligned with the requisites for delivery of successful school projects.

He advocates for a collaborative design process. With design, he believes that a working relationship transcends a personal vision and provides others the opportunity to take an interest in the design. With planning, he encourages collaboration between the design professionals, client, and consultants in order to jointly develop project vision, definition and consensus. Coupled with his extensive and thorough understanding of California Department of Education, Office of Public School Construction and State Allocation Board planning and funding requirements, School Districts are provided with strong planning guidance. This approach has proven to be very successful for both securing funding for school districts as well as designing exceptional educational facilities.
